GIVE

In 2 Corinthians 9:7, the Bible tells us that “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” In the Old Testament book of Proverbs we are told to “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce” (Proverbs 3:9)

We believe that whatever we have in our lives, whether great or small, are blessings from God. We want to give the first fruits of our time, our energy, and our strength as an act of worship to God. Our finances should be no different from any other part of our lives.

So, whether you use Online Giving or prefer to write out a check and put it in in the plate during offering, do so with “cheer” and from your “first fruits.” God doesn’t ask us to give because He needs anything. He asks us to give so we can have a share in His work and receive the blessing that comes from giving (Acts 20:35).
